Set Perforce QAC Alternative Folder
By default, a Perforce QAC Project is created in the same folder as the C/C++ project within the current workspace. The Set Perforce QAC Alternative Folder option, which is selectable from either the Project menu or Explorer Context Menu, allows you to store the Perforce QAC Project in a different location.
The new path is saved in a preferences file called: com.prqa.eclipse.prefs This file is located within the .settings folder inside the project folder. Eclipse will use the path defined in this preferences file whenever a project is activated.
This option is especially useful if you already have a Perforce QAC project (for example, a C++ project that you created when using Perforce QAC), and you wish to open this in the Eclipse workspace. Proceed as follows:
- Create a new empty project (optionally with the same name as the existing project).
- Open the project in the Eclipse workspace.
- Select Set Perforce QAC Alternative Folder.
- In the resultant dialog, enter the path to the existing project.
- The project is automatically activated.
- Convert to Perforce QAC Project
- Activate/Deactivate Perforce QAC Project
- Synchronize Project
- Open Perforce QAC Project Properties
- Upload Results to Structure 101
- Remove Perforce QAC Project from Project
